Acceptable Address Documents
To create a verification profile, you may need to submit proof of address. Here you can find the default settings.
Sumsub does not define which data or documents are required, which regions are supported, or any other verification conditions. These are determined by the companies you verify for, based on their local regulations and internal policies.
Accepted documents
- Utility bill (gas, electricity, water, internet, cable, or landline phone)
- Bank or credit card statement
- Lease or mortgage agreement
- Tax bill
- Government-issued benefit payment letter
- Public authority letter
- Employer’s certificate confirming address
- Voter registration certificate
- Vehicle registration certificate
- Affidavit with seal and signature
Alternative proof of address
The following documents can also be accepted as proof of address if they include the full address:
- Passport
- Identity card
- Driving license
- Residence permit
The same document cannot be used to confirm both your identity and address. If you submit an ID document as proof of address, use another document to verify identity.
What we don’t accept
- Pension statements
- Insurance statements and policies
- Mobile phone or satellite TV bills
- Medical bills
- Purchase receipts or pay stubs
- Neobank statements
- PO Box addresses (except in certain countries)
